OUR FRIDAY NIGHT DINNERS CONCLUDE ON MAY 14TH FOR THE SUMMER!
Well, our kitchen volunteers are ready to take a break after a period of time in which we prepared and delivered over 14,000 meals to seniors and veterans in our community as well as producing our weekly fish fry in a drive-thru format. Accordingly, please be advised that our Friday night dinners will conclude for the time being after we finish serving our patrons on May 14th, 2021.
On behalf of all Legion members and especially our veterans, we want to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers who have supported our fish fry initiative throughout the last year and we look forward to renewing acquaintances and meeting new customers when we resume the fish fry initiative on September 17th, 2021. Please note the revenues we have generated during this period of time have assisted our Branch in meeting our ongoing expenses as well as providing funds for the support of community initiatives as we continue to migrate through the COVID-19 pandemic.
While we will not be running the Friday night dinners throughout the summer months, President Toni and her volunteer crew will no doubt be offering “one-off” specials during the summer months. Look for information about these specials on Facebook, the Branch’s website and the yellow signboard out front by the east parking lot entrance.
As we take our summer sabbatical, we welcome the new owners of the Fonthill Food Truck Company who will commence operations on May 15th, 2021, located in the west parking lot of the Branch. While autonomous from the Legion, they will more than ably fill the void during our absence and to this end, we encourage all of you to support their business throughout the term of their seasonal operations. Some of their staff have been volunteering during the Friday night dinners and based on their levels of enthusiasm, we are confident that you will like the food they will produce and the hospitality you will receive.
So, until we meet again in September, we wish you all the best. Stay safe and again, THANK YOU, for supporting our Talbot Trail Branch throughout these challenging times.
